Problem with USB removable driver
I need help to solve this problem:
I have an USB Camera (Phillips) puggled in a embedded hardware with Debian Etch installed in a 256MB Flash Drive, and Iīm using a motion program to take snapshot and save de picture in a pendrive (thumb diver) with 8GB, all time, whitout stop to take a snapshot, when have moviment detection.
The Problem: I dont't khown why, but sometimes de pendrive is removabled automatically, and the big trouble is the memory in the Flash Drive, because it will fill quickly and stopping the harware.
It sounds like something is going asleep, perhaps to save battery power
Perhaps have a script to write some small file to the usb and touch it every so often?
wipe all of 8g as you do not tell us the output of command df
2) remove all cron jobs or disable all cronjobs or disable cron...I assume system is never rebooted?
3) what fileformat are snaps?....png jpeg or what?
Sorry, not wipe all the 8GB but de flash memory with 256MB.
The snaps files is jpeg, itīs look like that pendrive goes to asleep mode. Itīs possible to stop with that?
I tried to put a 'ls /device_folder' command in the crontab, but donīt worked.
The system canīt reboot
Asleep? Use touch, like I said 2/3 posts ago
ls is a read, touch is a write
