Problem with the USB DSL Router, Printer, Scanner and tec.
Hi I've just Installed Fedora 8 on my labtop. But I've go many problems with the devices. the USB router is not supported, the dial-up modem is not supported, the wirless card is not supported,the ethernet card is not supported, the printer is not supported, the scanner is not supported, and I don't have more money to buy extra hardware acompatiable with linux ( not to mention how hard it is to find one ). I cannot even connect to Internet under linux, please help, I am stuck!
My USB Router is a symphoney SY3200U.
My dialup modem card is Conexant D110 MDC V9.x Modem
My wireless card is Intel(R)PRO/Wirless 2200BG Network Connection
my ethernet card is Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller
My printer is Canon ip4500.
My scanner is Canon Lide 25.
any help would be greate. thanks

Your wired and wireless network should work under Linux, as there are drivers for both in the kernel.

Don't think you will get that USB router working, they are usually junk to begin with, ethernet is much better and easier.
That D110 appears to be a winmodem, it may be possible with a lot of work.
Wireless card is well supported under the ipw2200 driver.
Ethernet is supported with the b44 driver, and should be picked up automatically by Fedora.
Scanner is supported under Sane.
Good luck on the printer, Canon doesn't work well with the open source driver developers.
