I can't see my SCSI CD ROM - R/W but I can see & use my IDE CD ROM.

What is the make / model of the SCSI controller?
Post the output of lspci.

I have the same problem but haven't had time to research.

What distro, version, kernel are you running. Used to be in the 2.4 kernels but I it isn't in the 2.6.
