Problem with running two Gamepads.

I am having an issue with running two Logitech WD311XM controllers at the same time. Running one works fine, the mode light is on.

What is weird is that they both worked at first, and then all of a sudden, the mode light is lit on one while the other will not turn on (and thus will not work). Listing the USB devices I get :

Code:

$ lsusb
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 046d:081b Logitech, Inc. Webcam C310
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 8087:0024 Intel Corp. Integrated Rate Matching Hub

It is Device 008 and Device 009. How would I go about correcting this. Not only that, I see that only /dev/js0 is loaded when one is plugged in, and when the second one is plugged in, js1 doesn't seem to load.

I am currently using Sabayon Linux 13.04 Gnome Edition. Any ideas on how to correct this?

+++Addition+++
I just noticed, there is a little switch on the back of the controller; to the left is X and to the right is D. One of my children set one to D which seemed to completely disabled it.

The Switch needs to be on the X.

Apparently it is X-input mode to DirectInput mode.
