problem with linux partition
hi
i have my pc with windows 2000 and redhat linux 7.3 . Window 2000 is on NTFS (also FAT32) and linux on ext3fs. i m able to access my window partion under linux. but how can i access the linux partition under windows. How to mount the linux partition under windows. there are tools available on the net but they are demo versions and i don want to purchase any one of them. Is there any free software available to access the linux partition from windows. Thanks Puru |
Have you seen a lot of free power tools for windows, excluding warez sites? Windows has never being meant to deal with anything that fat-free. I guess you are left with the options that you have already explored.
P.S. And it is not a problem with linux partition - it is a problem with MS Monopoly. |
viewing ext2 or ext3
Its called explorer2fs. The web site has been posted on the site before.

The link is here: http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/explore2fs.htm
but support for ext3 is read-only. Again, don't blame Linux, its MS not caring about other filesystems. At last count Linux handled 33 different filesystems. Cheers, Finegan |
