Problem with intel X3000 video (965 chipset)
Hello!
i buy a \"new comp\" with a intel dg965ss motherboard, celeron d 2.53 mhz
processor, 2 x 512 mb ram, hec 350w PSU, and sata2 80 gb seagate.
i pray with mandriva 2007 until i know that in bios i must set native and
AHCI (default is IDE) for hard drives, and option for kernel is
all-ide-generic , for i must see devices on PATA interface (dvd burner). but
now i stopped at onboard video ( x3000) - i install celestia, and try a run it
- but he writes
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5a
segmentation fault.
i try a run glxgears, then glxinfo, but result is previously: message
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5a
segmentation fault.
i see a xorg log file. i found a 7 mb memory is used for video, and randr /
direc rendering is disabled.
i write in xorg.cfg sections
option \"VideoRam\" \"131072\"
and section \"DRI\"
Mode 0666
EndSection
after this i found in xorg logs as randr / direct rendering is enabled, but
when i try run glxgears / glxinfo / celestia - the same problem with not
support visual, and segmentation fault
