Problem with installing CUPS wrapper driver for Brother MFC-6800
When I extract the file and try to run the script for my printer ( sh cupswrapperMFC6800-1.0.2 ), I recieve the following message:
ERROR : Brother LPD filter is not installed.
rm -f /usr/lib/cups/filter/brlpdwrapperMFC6800
chmod: cannot access `/usr/local/Brother/inf/brMFC6800rc': No such file or directory
chmod: cannot access `/usr/local/Brother/inf': No such file or directory
Yet the site offers no source for LPD drivers.
In case there is some other workaround for getting such a printer to work, I am using Slackware 10.2 with a custom 2.6.15.4 kernel, parallel port enabled.
