problem with headphones sound

Hi,

I have asus a6q00, intel sound card and I'm using arch linux. There is no sound on headphones. Does someone have same problem? or can tell me what to do...? Thanks

AFAIK some laptop manufacturers use software switch between headphones and speakers. Try unmuting external device using alsamixer.
