Unhappy Problem with HDA-intel sound card FC5


Hi evr1,
I have Fc5 installed(fresh) on my laptop.... I have hda intel sound card..the lspci output shows that the card has been detected?!..and my modprobe.conf file too an has entry for hda-intel...
but alsamixer doesnt show up a master volume controller..it shows onlyheadphoes,PCM,Mic and Line..
I have my default device set to HDA-intel(gnome-volume-control->File->Change device -> HDA-intel)..the other option being Realtek ALC260 (OSS Mixer).....i have made sure all the tabs that are shown in the volume controller unmuted...
