problem with gateway modem
 

i have a pci modem with this specification:

Model 2974 [66297480],[66297401],[663529] (OEM "Alana" without external jacks) 56K PCI Winmodem D/F/V; Gateway #6000969, #6001126; OEM "Coyote" Model 3529 (PCI\VEN_12B9&DEV_1006&SUBSYS_008112B9&REV_00)

can this modem used under linux?
ive been trying everything in this forum, and none are working for me. i try to download the driver for HCF and HSF, also didn't work on my modem.
i try the setserial also not working.
if this modem can be used in linux, which driver i have to download.
please help me out.

you answerd your own question it is a win modem and it probley is not compatable do a google.co\linux search for drivers and see if it is supported if not try findoing a book from the libary on how to write linux drivers but you would be better off gettin a real modem
