Problem with alsa sound

I am successful in listening to sound in my Linux machine.
Thanks to alsa.

But, here I have a problem.
Every time I login (X windows),
I have to run alsaconf, to make sound working.
Is there a way, that once I configure, alsa stores this information and uses it again.

you probably need to look at the modules it loads, then
add those to a startup script.
