First i wanna tell you that I'm a big noob in Linux ...
So , now i will start to present you my problem , maybe womeone will help me to solve it ...

I have a SpeedTouch 330 Modem an Mandrake Linux 10.1
I tried to install the modem by using the "Steve Parker" method :
speedtouchconf.sourceforge.net/script.shtml

But , when I write : ./speedtouchconf.sh

I have this error :

If you have any problems with this script, mail me
(steve at steve-parker dot org) with the files
/tmp/speedtouch.txt and /var/log/messages for diagnosis.
Using speedtouch-1.3-sgp
microcode is alcaudsl.sys
Using alcaudsl.sys for microcode
./speedtouchconf.sh: line 238: [: z: unary operator expected
PPP version 2.4.2 okay.
Linux kernel version 2.6.8 okay.
No USB Bus found!
Not ready to install the software at this time. - code 2

And i don't know why ...

Can you help me please ?

u must uncomment these lines in the script and rerun it

Hi, just to let you know ur not alone, I have a speedtouch modem to and just can not get it to work under Linus (Mandrake 10.1), If I do succede I'll let you know and try and let you know how I did it.
