Problem installing Ndiswrapper on RHEL 5

Hiii.. I'm vamsee...new to linux and to this forum....I'm uisng RHEL5....here are the details...

My kernel version is 2.6.18-53.el5. I downloaded ndiswrapper 1.53.When i issue this command -make install- i get following error messages
make[1]: Entering dir /root/Linksys/ndiswrapper-1.53/drive'
makefile:23:*** kernel tree not found- please set KBUILD to configured kernel. Stop
make[1]: Leaving dir /root/Linksys/ndiswrapper-1.53/drive'
make:[install] Error 2

Plzzz.....help me out guys.....

Hi!

It seems you need things like the headers for kernel module compilation.

You usually install that with the package manager of your distro (don't know what it is on RHEL, I have Debian sry). The package name that should cause the stuff you need to be installed should be something like linux-kbuild-2.6.18.
Also, did you try to install ndiswrapper by using the package manager (or something included with RHEL, like there is something [module-assistant] for Debian).

Any luck with this?
