Problem installing my intel 810i vedio cardon Suse liunx 9...

Dear All,
I'm having problems installing my vedio card on suse linux 9...can anyone help me ?

My card is intel 810i, I tried to install it but I found that it requires xfree86 and suse ships with xorg, I don't know if this will work or not, plz help me, I'm new to linux , be detailed as possible.

Also I just bought Sony Erricson K750i mobile phone, is there a way to let suse linux connect to it via USB cable, no drivers found on the CD.

As far as I know, the i810 works fine with xorg. Doesn't YaST detect it? i810 have been part of the linux kernel for ages, extra drivers shouldn't be needed (I never needed them anyway).

Thanks for your reply.You are right, linux detected my 810i and it knew it'a intel 810i but it uses the driver as a generic driver and then no features are supported like the refresh rate and the hardware acceleration and so on...
Plz help me on that problem !

Refresh rate is a monitor setting, not a video card setting.
The i810 is a very basic card, not a lot of hardware accelleration to my knowledge.

Have you looked at LQ's HCL? linkage
