problem in fedora4 installation

Hello Every Body
Thank you very Much for your efforts
I have problem in downloading Linux fedora 4 OS
I Have bought a new computer which has the following Properties:

Mother Board : ASUS P5P800
Processor : 3000 GHZ Cache 1 mb
Hard Disk : 160 GB
VGA Card : NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500
Memory : 512 MB
Screen : LG 17 flatron
Modem : Creative

When I tried to download Linux I did not get The Blue screen which appears in the beginning of installation where a phrase : << Fedora Core >> written on it .

The only thing I see is a black screen and a phrase : << Installer Boot Options>> on it .
When I press enter it starts downloading a little and stops in the step where a phrase :
<< [<c01012b1>] kernel_thread_helper + 0x5/0x14 >> has written on a black screen and in this step the installation totally stops and nothing happens .

I don't know why this is happening because I've downloaded Fedora 4 Many times in different Pc's including my old one .

I wish I could have a solution or advice from you

Thanks for your interesting

Best Regards

Hassan Jagel

I would like to echo what the moderator has said - please do not post numerous times regarding the same item as four people may well answer your one query, wasting their time and yours. That said, I have some good news. Try the following at the boot prompt:

linux resolution=1024x768 nofb

and let me know how you get on.

Regards
Chris

Mod note: all your other duplicate threads have already been closed, so by default I'll let this one continue. In the future, just post your question one time, in the most appropriate forum. Thanks

I thought that it is better to write the thread in more than one forum to make much of people read it
i'll try to avoid this in next times

Best regards
