problem configuring audio under fedora 11

Need help with INTEL ICH6 with ALC850 Realtec Audio integrated on GA7N400 board. I have fresh installation of Fedora 11. Prior to this installation i had Fedora 10 on the same hardware and audio was working fine.
modinfo soundcore returns:
filename: /lib/modules/2.6.29.6-217.2.16.fc11.i686.PAE/kernel/sound/soundcore.ko
alias: char-major-14-*
license: GPL
author: Alan Cox
description: Core sound module
srcversion: 07876461C0B3BB4A93B88E4
depends:
vermagic: 2.6.29.6-217.2.16.fc11.i686.PAE SMP mod_unload 686

Multimedia Sound and Video Configuration shows:
PulseAudio as active
INTEL ICH6 with ALC850 - Greyed-out

BIOS shows AUDIO being enabled

Thanks

this is a fresh install , so have you ran "yum update" to install the 2 gig of updates ?
fedora 11 has been having sound issues and the updates have fixed most of them .
