problem!!!
I have a problem with the installation of Fedora Core 3 on my computer.Whenever
I start the installation, after detecting the hardware like keyboard, mouse etc, the display on the screen goes berserk (the entire screen gets filled up with lines, and the lines keep on flickering)and the installation comes to an abrupt end(as i cannot proceed any further). On the other hand,I had once installed the same in text mode, and the entire installation went by smoothly. After this I rebooted my computer, and midway through the process again the graphics on my screen went bad(as explained before, but here sometimes the screen stalled while other times the screen was filled mouse pointers). My computer configuration is: 1) Pentium-4, 2.66GHZ with HT TECHNOLOGY,64 BITS. 2) 512MB RAM. 3) 80GB SATA HARD-DISK. 4) MERCURY MOTHERBOARD. 5) INTEL 915 CHIPSET. Please give me some advice about this problem. |
You left out the most important detail. What kind of graphics card do you have? (unless you have an onboard controller)
