Hello,

I am a brand new user of Redhat 9.0 and have a pretty basic question: How to set the printer?

The printer is not directly connected to my PC, but is a shared printer, that is connected to the internet. When I set it in Windows, I inserted the IP address and it works.

I started in RH by adding a new printer, and I am stuck at the 'Queue type' section:
1. what queue type I should select? (my options are IPP,LPD,SMB,NCP,jetdirect).
2. what should I enter under 'Server'? (is that where I should enter the IP address of the printer?)
3. what should I enter under 'Path'?

Another unrelated small question: when I open a window and minimize it, where does it go? I can't see it at the bottom of my desktop or anywhere else. sorry for the basic question.

If you choose to answer my questions, please try to explain it to me in the most basic way using the most basic terms.

Read the manuals. FYI Red hat Linux 9 is a dead OS, support ended by Red Hat years ago and nobody else is supporting it now;
