I'm trying to configure a desktop running Susi 9.0 to print to a HP laser 4 plus via a network. The printer is attached to a Netgear PS101 print server that has a static address. Through YaST hardware printers manual setup I entered the IP address of the print server, tested the connection. It came back OK. I then selected the HP printer and attempted to test. At the printer I got an LC Load A4 error. I cleared the error, reset the printer tried again and got the same results. I tried shutting the power off and restarting the printer and nothing changed, I got the same results. Any help would be greatly appreciated
We are running a lot of those prinservers at our department and it has never been a problem to print from SUSE. However, the error message may indicate an incompatible paper size. E.g. when I accidentally print in 'letter' format (which is not used in Europe), I get a similar error message. I suggest you check the drivers default setting on the paper size.
