Printing double sided on HP printers with duplexers

I can't see how to tell me HP printer to print double sided (photosmart 1218). It has the duples module but I don't see any option in the printer drievrs, anyone know how to make it print double sided? Slackeare 10.1, cups, kde as window manager.

Generally, you will find the duplex option in the cups dialogs for PROPERTIES Tab GENERAL.

You may need to experiment with several cups drivers. Sometimes CUPS has several drivers for the same model. Especially HP models that change so often.

use the

kprinter --stdin

in programs like OpenOffice to get the CUPS dialog printer selection.

The properties page doesn't have the option and I'm using the 1218 drivers for cups, I haven't found any other 1218 drivers.
