printer problem


I have an hp deskjet 960c install under redhat 8.0
I know the configuration went well, but when I try to ptrint a test page this is the error message I get.

/usr/bin/lpr -p "hp" #1 /tmp/kde-kafnir/kdeprint-3vldy 34
get_local_host: localhost ip address not available

kafnir is my username

have you checked your /etc/hosts file

post the output of ifconfig -a
and
vi /etc/hosts

(you should find a line like):
127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain
