Printer HP PSC 1410 WON'T PRINT!

First...
Distro: Slackware 10.2
Kernel: 2.6.16.9
Printer: HP PSC 1410 All-in-One
Server: CUPS
Mood: Bad as hell!

This is what I have done...
I've installed the HPLIP driver. Installation was OK!
I configured the printer with KDE's Printing Mnanager.
Everything went on alright.
I could even send the Printing Test Page to the printer!
But it just won't print!

(I've also tried to configure it with the CUPS web interface set-up,
and when I get to printing the Test Page, it is sent but not printed.
There's not a single noise or move in the printer.)

I have just installed KERNEL 2.6.16.9.
But before installing it, I was able to print.
I had KERNEL 2.4.31.

Due you think it's due to the kernel change?
(I checked all the USB modules and support with menuconfig)
Remember that I could print normally before reinstalling
Slackware as well as the new kernel.
