print head cleaning (cannon S400)

i have a cannon S400 on which the print heads occasionally get blocked.

but i cannopt seem to find a util to clean them , normall printing works fine under linux, but there are no utils,

im forced to clean the heads manually (at risk of damaging them)
and i have no idea what i would do if i had to re align them )

any one know of a util pakage for cannon printers?
i dont care about the licence type but it needs to be free as in beer!

You may be out of luck there, Canon's linux support leaves a lot to be desired. That and their tank sensors have made me discard a pixma about one year old. Every other time I used it a light came on telling me I needed to reinstall the tank (usually it was the black).
