Primax USB 19200 scanner problems, please help
I was stuck between whether to post this in the newbie section or in hardware... it ended up here.
I am currently running FC4 on a Pentium 3 650Mhz. I just have no idea where to start with getting my Primax USB 19200 working.
(When I say I'm a newbie I *mean* it btw... it always amuses me when I go on these forums and I read stuff like "Yes, I'm a newbie... I've just been having issues rewriting the linux kernel whilst building myself a computer out of matchsticks..." or some similarly crazy nonsense.)
Primax_scan which I downloaded has been working fine (i.e. I compile it ok and it acknowledges my existence when I open it in terminal).
But it doesn't seem to recognise my scanner, when I try to scan things, my scanner makes no noises and it outputs blank white files. (Do I need to mount my USB scanner first? and if so, how?)
Secondly, I downloaded Steve Ellis's e3 driver... what do I need to do with it?
I probably missed out a load of technical info you'd like to know.
If so, please tell me.
Thanks in advance,
yekrahs
