Powerbook Trackpad and KDE

Hello, wondering if someone could help me. I installed yellowdog linux and use a powerbook g3. It's version 2.3 of YDL. During the graphical setup my trackpad worked fine for clicking, however now running X and KDE i have to use the button below the pad to click. I cannot find anywhere an option to change this
could someone please help
thanks
Pete

oh yeah forgot to mention

Yes I forgot to mention. I have 1.5 gigs reserved for yellowdog, I am hoping to be able to remove some stuff to free up space. Any suggestions on packages to remove thatr are not needed? I have less than 100 megs free prolly like 50 now
it sucks really bad
