Poor 3D graphics performance after upgrading to Fedora 21

I have an HP Envy laptop, with Fedora 20 on it. It has an Intel video card, and I've always gotten pretty decent performance out of it.
Code:
$ lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06)
I recently upgraded it to Fedora 21. Since I don't use GRUB, I used the fedora-upgrade script rather than trying fedup. Everything seemed to work out fine, except that now, some of my <strike>3D games</strike> important 3D programs won't run at all, and those that do run give me less than 5fps.

Based on my research, I'm pretty sure I need to install the "xorg-x11-drv-intel" package from the intellinuxgraphics repository, which I had to uninstall during the upgrade. The problem is that, every time I try to install it, it complains about a missing "xserver-abi(videodrv-14)" dependency, and I have no idea how to resolve it.
Code:
$ sudo yum install xorg-x11-drv-intel
Loaded plugins: langpacks, priorities
102 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Resolving Dependencies
--> Running transaction check
---> Package xorg-x11-drv-intel.x86_64 0:2.99.911-20.intel20143 will be installed
--> Processing Dependency: xserver-abi(videodrv-14) >= 1 for package: xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.911-20.intel20143.x86_64
--> Finished Dependency Resolution
Error: Package: xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.911-20.intel20143.x86_64 (intellinuxgraphics)
           Requires: xserver-abi(videodrv-14) >= 1
 You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
 You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
Am I on the right track? If so, how do I resolve this? If not, what do I need to do instead?

Thanks.

I nearly bought one of those(HP Envy), and became very glad I didn't.

I have xf86-video-intel-2.99.911 and xorg-server-1.15.2; the other major dependencies are (lib)pixman, libdrm, & Mesa. Have you done the obvious

yum list xserver-abi*

?? Did you get anything?

Yes, it actually seems to be pretty low quality for the cost.

I tried that, and it didn't find anything.
Code:
$ sudo yum list "xserver-abi*"
Loaded plugins: langpacks, priorities
102 packages excluded due to repository priority protections
Error: No matching Packages to list

About the HP Envy, I noticed that the number of complaints to columns like these outweighs the number of devices sold. Not surprising if you run fedora. You might find something better with gopogle, but I did stumble across this:

http://www.rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2htm...i%28ansic-0%29

You may want to rename whatever you try to the exact name that fedora uses.

I managed to fix it on my own. I was doing some more research, and got curious about the "102 packages excluded due to repository priority protections" part of the message, so I found the page where the author of yum itself mentioned that he really doesn't like the priority plugin. So, I disabled it and did a yum upgrade, which installed 25 new packages. One of those packages must have provided whatever xorg-x11-drv-intel needed, because I was then able to install it just fine. One reboot later, and the problem is solved.

Thanks again for your help.
