Please help with my Philips Webcam!

Hello all! I am new to Linux Questions, but I must say I enjoy what I've seen! Many of you have helped me with my problems with linux in the past and I believe this is the place where someone can help me! I recently bought a Philips Webcam model number SIC4750/27. I have tried multiple drivers for linux and none of them work. I installed v4l2 and it said no drivers are supported for my webcam. I am currently running Windows, only because it works with Windows and my gf wants to talk with the webcam. I usually use Fadora 8. If anyone can please help me, I would appreciate it. I don't want a dual-boot because I only have a 20gb hard drive. Thank You!

Sorry, I've not heard of such a camera, does it go by any other name ? What does it say on the box ?

Or can you identify it here:

Thank you for your speedy reply! Unfortunately, my webcam is not listed on the website that you gave me. It says on the box: Philips PC Camera SIC4750/27. I ran a live cd and lsusb, and got the following message:

Bus 001 Device 002 ID 04fc:0561 Sunplus Technology Co. Ltd Flexcam 100.

Not sure if this will help.

For that camera try using spca5xx and spcaview.

Thank you so very much for helping me!!! I've been looking around and decided to try Slackware again. I didn't like it because I tried it when I was a noob, but now that I'm more used to linux, I've decided to try it again and I love it. I just have one more question, what programs do you recommend for testing to see if your webcam actually works? Do you need any plugins for aMSN?
