Unhappy pinnacle studio AV/DV capture card

I installed a pinnacle studio AV/DV capture card ( PCI ) What solfware do i need to capture the video from my sony Hi 8 handycam . Im running suse 9.1. I look under systems hardware and it does see the card.

kino apparently would be somethign to look at, with dvgrab

Chris is right on the mark there.

You'll also have to make sure your ieee1394 port is working correctly. (Though fedora set mine up for me last time) We can help with that too!
