[fixed] Philips PT44434 on Linux
I just got a new Philips PT44434 (at least that's what it says on the manual and the front of the camera) and a memory card with a cool-looking USB reader that barely works. I got it to work in Windows with the help of some software they included (ArcSoft PhotoImpression 5.0).
But I still haven't gotten it to work in Linux, neither through the camera's cable, the USB reader that came with the card, nor the card reader on my computer's front panel (though I don't remember that ever working anyway). I did get to mount the USB card reader once, but the files were all in .raw format and dcraw gave me odd, stretched out, black-and-white versions of the pictures. I haven't gotten it to see the I also got slightly desperate and tried running the camera software install app in Wine, which promptly crashed on me.
I'm running Arch Linux 0.7.2 on an i686 (Sempron). Anyone else know how to get this to work somehow?
EDIT: I also tried KDE's control center module for digital cameras, it didn't seem to have the right driver.
Edit 2: Fixed, just needed to reboot.
