Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

PS/2 does not mean Pentium II or higher. It means when the first personal computers came out they use a connector similar like the PS/2. PS/2 is an upgrade version of the old PS connector. I think it came from Apple Land but I do not remember. Too long ago for me to remember.

Any keyboard that has PS/2 connector will work.

I take it your PC does not have a PS/2 connector which is a small 6 pin connector with a small rectangle alignment pin on the connector ( or slot on the mate with). The original PC's used a 5 pin DIN connector. These are about twice the size and have a small notch in the outer ring for alignment.

You might find old keyboards in surplus computer stores or an adaptor to convert a PS/2 keyboard to a 5 pin DIN. If your technically inclined you could purchase a newer PS/2 keyboard and cut the connector off and replace it with a DIN connector. I'm sure you could find a pin out by searching the web.
