when i use scanpci i get

dosen't that mean it is detected ?

do i need the drivers ?

also when i am in kde i use the control center and look under io-ports and it says modem -- smart link HAMR 5600 compatible

i also used the command redhat-config-network and i used the
tty0 port and when i hit the activate button it says it is activated

when i use kppp it says initializing modem and then does nothng

when i try other ports it says the modem is busy or can't find modem
