PCMCIA Modem card recomendations

I need to buy a PCMCIA modem card for my laptop as it doesn't have a serial port and I'm visiting someone who only has 56k dialup.

I need some makes/models of cards that work without too much hassle. I would rather have something supported directly if possible- ie not ndiswrapper or similar.

In fact PCM or usb would be fine if it works.

Any ideas?

Hi

The following link may give you a start.
It relates to an LDP page that talks about card services.

http://tldp.org/HOWTO/PCMCIA-HOWTO-1.html

The page mentions slackware, and the file SUPPORTED.CARDS.

Might give you a place to start.

Regards

Chris
