PCI-Sata drive problem

Ok, major crisis on my hands.

I have a PC, 2.6 celeron that i have for linux but it only have a 10 g hd so i searched on line and i bought a 120 g.

my problem is i ordered a SATA drive and not a PATA, so then i went to the local computer shop and a they gave me a pci SATA adapter. It has drivers for windows. I planned on making my system dual boot with vector linux 5.0 and windows xp.

I don't really know how i can tackle this problem seeing how i can't install through the pci card because neither windows or linux detects it. so if i install linux to the small ten g drive then is there drivers for linux for a card like that? or can i install linux on the SATA through windows perhaps? the Pci card says that it supports booting from the SATA drive.

since i am a noob i can't post urls, i have a
buslink serial ata pci card that attaches to a 120 g sata drive
please help me asap

Ok, I am thinking if i install windows and then install all of the drivers then i could get a harddrive cloning program and clone windows onto the sata drive then see if i can boot from there, if that works then maybe i can get linux installed on the 10 g drive
a few problems though, are getting lilo to boot windows through the PCI card. Am i shit out of luck with this?

I have a feeling that after i get windows up and running i am going to run into so major issues trying to make the my system dual boot with LILO however.
