pci-e lane width on socket 771

Many 771 socket motherboards are manufactured with links (i.e. x8) that do not match the expansion lane (i.e. x16). I am looking to build a xeon based workstation, and would like to take full advantage of an x16 link on an nVidia graphics card. Are more mainstream motherboards made with these half-lanes, too - what do you recommend for an 771 with x16 links?

My socket 754 nForce 6100-405 mobo also has a 16X PCI-E slot running at 8X.

Unfortunately don't have any recommendations for you, but have a new AM2 mobo coming in utilizing nVidia's latest nForce 7025-630a chipset, so hopefully won't be an issue with this one too.
