Overclocking?
Hey,
Under Windows I used something like SoftFSB to change the Frontsidebus and get a few MHz more out of my box. But why overclock using Windows? It doesn't make much sense, because there I don't need power. Do you guys know any overlocking tools for linux? I think when compiling something big even a few MHz will make sense. Thanks. |
you could change it in the bios? so its OS independant. thats what I've done!

That's what we do at school, set FSB to something strange and then have fun when our teachers wonder about the warning-sounds ;)
The bad thing is, I only have a old Chaintech 6BTM where I can't do anything in BIOS :( |
I need overclocking tools too, The reason being is that it is a lot simpler. In the bios you have to check it, then boot up, then shut down and so on.
