Out of range
 

I have tried booting the cd for knoppix/suse/suse live eval But it gives me the same error on all( the error comes form my monitor not linux and after the error i cant do anything) the error says "out of range, set monitor to 1280 x 1024 @ 60hz can sum one help me?:\

Hi.

You'll have to find the max refresh rates (horizontal and vertical) for your make and model of monitor. Google is your friend.

When you boot Knoppix, there's a 'help' screen (I think you hit one of the Function keys to get to it) which tells you how to specify what refresh rates you want for your monitor. I believe you can also set the monitor's resolution before booting Try setting the resolution to 1024x768 or something. Check the help for that too.
