Orinoco silver 802.11b card & Red Hat Limbo beta
I'm trying out the new limbo beta of Red Hat and I'm having difficulty configuring my orinoco silver wifi pcmcia card. The card is recognized and it appears to be available in the gui netowrk configuration utils within Gnome. Now, I've generally used KDE and not Gnome so maybe part of the problem is my unfamiliarity with Gnome.
Anyway, the installation originally set the card up as an "ethernet" (as opposed to "wireless") card. When I click "activate" nothing happens.
I changed the setting for the card from "ethernet" to wireless, and it gave me a place to set essid, wep etc. So, i changed it from "ethernet" to "wireless" and put in my essid and wep settings but still no joy.
I've been using Linux for about 6 months now and am not afraid of the command line. However, I'd like to see if I can get it configured using one of the gui tools.
Any Red Hat users who can point me in the right direction?
TIA
