I've set up a new box with an Asus P4VP-MX mobo. It says that it has 'Integrated VIA S3 ProSavage8 Graphics,' which (it may have been a marketing scam, but..) 'deliver realistic 3D/2D graphics with...fast rendering.'
I'm trying to set up Cedega on this box now so I can run some Windows games. In the setup guide, it says this:
"The glxgears program will output an FPS (Frames Per Second) rating to the
command line. If 3D acceleration is correctly enabled for your video card
then the reported FPS should be well over 500 FPS, at the default window size.
If the output shows less than 500 FPS then you should double check your 3D setup."
I ran glxgears and got this:
[adrohak ~] glxgears
Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
993 frames in 5.0 seconds = 198.600 FPS
198 is nowhere near 500, so Cedega recommends that I double check my 3D setup.
I, though, don't know how, so any help would be greatly appreciated.
