open suse 11 64bit on big screen tv
 

hi all,

i wanted to know if it is possible have my open suse desktop pc connected to my 46 sharp aquous tv. yes it strange but if windows can do it why not linux?

basically my screen is black with no image on it. im using a standard vga cable for it at the moment. any pointers will be greatly appreciated.

i believe it is an ati video card x1200 to be precise

standard video driver within suse the pc is not with me at the moment but ill be able to go back to it next week. is there any thing else you can tel me?
