on board C-media (cm19761a) AC'97 issues

i am having issues with my sound card, i can only get sound from media players, but not games or flash animations. i believe i know for sure what the problem is, but i can't make it go away.

my card is built on to the board (M7VIT Bravo by Biostar). C-Media CMI9761A 6-Channel AC'97 codec.

the c-media driver (from cm website) only supports PCI cards, and when i use modconf, there is no support for onboard c-media, but i have the ac97 codec modules installed.

does anyone have any ideas??

I wish I could help. I have the same sound setup. But it works fine with my Suse 9.1 pro.
