nvidia scrambled

When I am in X, I have a long black bar on the right side, and bottem that I cant get off no matter what I try.

And, when I CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F1 to the console, it's blank, or scrambled.
I can't get out of X.

It's a pain in the ass, and I cant seem to figure out a solution.
My XF86Config file is as follows:

I think you have chosen the wrong monitor type. Also make sure that you are using the correct Hz and Khz for the monitor. Double check your monitor manual to make sure that you have the correct settings.
