Nvidia Graphics Card problems - Linux running on Sparc

I have a Sun V240 server sparc which is running Aurora Sparc64 Linux release 2.99 (angel) (64 bit) with kernel 2.6.23.1-26.5.al3

The V240 didn't come with a video card, so I put in a nvidia e-geforce 6200 (pci) that I had laying around.

I've tried both linux drivers (distributed by nvidia) as well as drivers for sun systems. Neither would go so far as to even install.

Unfortunately I have yet to find any solutions to an issue such as this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

as far as I can see nVidia only supplies proprietary drivers for X86_32 and X86_64 and since you are running on a Sparc you are out of luck for that card.

You may be able to get it working with the vesa driver or xserver-xorg-video-nv but that's probably about it. Not sure what is available in Aurora Sparc64 but I would think either of those drivers should be there.
