Nvidia GeFordce 4 (generic) and new Kernel

#1
I up2date the kernel to linux-2.4.20-9 and X Window Crashes. Previos Kernel was inux-2.4.20-8 and works fine.

#2 I installed Nvidia driver and it works ok on old kernel. The Refresh rate is :
Horizontal 79.7
Vertical refresh Rate:75

It works ok, but when I'm trying to shutdown Linux it gives me Out of RANGE ERROR.

Any Ideas ?

Thanks

have you reinstalled the nvidia drivers for that kernel? the drivers are inserted into the /lib/modules tree so need to be there for each kernel you are using

Is there another way other than installation for each server?

Thanks

yes, you have to install for each kernel you are running. The new drivers are pretty easy.
