Hiya,
I've recently adquired two NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS. I've connected both with an SLI bridge, in order to work as one.
I'm using this software and version numbers
* kernel 2.6.22-14-generic
* NVIDIA driver version 100.14.19 (from ubuntu nvidia-glx-new package)
* graphic VBIOS card: 05.73.22.50.57
I've used nvidia-xconfig to configure SLI:
Code:
hal9000:~$ sudo nvidia-xconfig --sli=on
File /etc/X11/xorg.conf show lines confirming SLI is enabled, however it is NOT working. I've tested with nvidia-settings program.
In /var/log /Xorg.0.log file I can see this error:
Code:
(**) NVIDIA(0): Option "SLI" "on"
(**) NVIDIA(0): Enabling RENDER acceleration
(**) NVIDIA(0): NVIDIA SLI auto-select rendering option.
(WW) NVIDIA(0): DamageEvents are not currently compatible with SLI. Disabling

It says that my chipset is not supported to work in SLI mode, but I've tested this cards with M$ without problems. There is a compatibility chart in README documentation from NVIDIA driver, and my cards are included.
This is the physical connection:
Code:
hal9000:~$ lspci | grep -i vga

Can anyone help me? Do you have the same cards working?
Thanks a lot for any help.
