Nvidia Geforce MX440-SE, Driving ME NUTS

i have installed an reinstalled my NVIDIA-GEFORCE 4 driver, I have a 64 mb card and it acts like it is an 8 or something, I am playing a game call aao, It is graphic intensive, The Frames Lag , they are choppy, When i try to add option hardware accelerate, it screws up and i have to restore my previous settings, can someone with a nvidia geforce 4 card either send me a example of their config file or give me some suggestions on how to modify mine, TY -frog:study:

I had the exact same problem a few days ago. The solution being very simple.

All you have to do is go to Nvidias site and get the linux drivers for the Geforce4 to activate your 3d acceleratioin. After that you edit the xf86config-4 file in your /etc/X11 directory, making sure that "nv" is changed to "nvidia." Of course, there are a few important details I've forgotten to add, but the readme explains everything in detail. Once you're finished, simply reboot the computer and enjoy 3d acceleration!

i have the same card and after installing mdk 9.1 (comes with the same drivers u can DLD)I downloaded and Installed yanc run it as root and it makes setting up your card ( memory size, 3d,tv-out ,ect) a breeze.

All hail the penguins! E
