hi everybody...i have a problem.
i have an asus k8s-mx MoBo and about three months ago i bought a nvidia fx5200 card but it's giving me some trouble.
it works with for example fedora core 5 and mandriva 2007 but it doesnt work with debian etch wich i would really like to use....as soon as i have run the xorg config the computer just locks up and the only thing left to do is a hard reboot and boot into the shell and use the nv driver.
i remember reading somewhere on the net that the fx5200 can be problematic with some boards under linux so i searched with google on the problem wich didnt turn up anything useful.
so now my question is if somebody has debian(or possibly ubuntu)runnig succesfully on the same board with a nvidia card(agp or pci-e).

a new developement.
i just downloaded the latest beta driver(now why didn't i think of that sooner?)and it works on ubuntu(was just lying around on my hdd)so i'm of to install debian etch!
