Nvidia driver issue?

Just wondering if anyone is having issues with nvidia-current causing refresh lag, tearing and artifacts. I am not running effects. I am running Ubuntu 10.04

I am having no problems running Ubuntu with current drivers on my gtx 260 superclocked+ and I run a ton of eye candy.

Thanks for responding. I have a BFG geforce 7950 GT OC Edition and it sucking wind. For some reason I get real choppy performance when running compiz and video of > 480p . I ran hwdinfo and the clock speed for the gpu seemed correct. However, the memory speed is at 750mhz rather than 1400mhz. I tried the nvidia over-clock applet ( ubuntu repo version) and I dont have an option of going up to 1400mhz. Any ideas?

Maybe get yourself (if you haven't got it) the NVclock tool. It *might* actually be the backend for that applet thing you mentioned, but if not, locate NVclock (from nvidia website), download, compile, and see if you can set the clock speed and/or other things with that?

Yes, it is the backend. Will try to compile today. How are you? You ever finish your firewall thing?

"Finish.." ?? What does that mean? :p Heh, no not really, been sidetracked with countless other things... I'm well though, thanks for asking!
