Question nvidia causing tainted kernel

Hi
I've just installed the nvidia display drivers on my Fedora core1 2.4.22-1.2188. I did a insmod nvidia and was told the module is tainting my kernel.
I think this is to do with the gpd key. The Xserver will not run although it works fine with the generic nv driver installed. Is this caused by the tainted module or should it run anyway?

If my memory serves me... all that this means is that the module in question, does not appear to have the same 'copyright' as the kernel

Yep, my memory is not gone yet... See
