nVidia 700XGL under SuSE 9.1

I have an nVidia 700XGL installed in my Dell Precision 340. The card is working fine if you want to look at display 2 and not display 1.

My problem is (besides being a newbie) SuSE 9.1 is detecting that my card is a dual head display but it is not picking up at there is only one monitor connected! So Suse is trying to display on the DVI port (I do not have a DVI monitor) and not the RGB Port that I do have and is connected.

As a troubleshooting step I tried one of those DVI-to-RGB adapters from another PC that it is working on and I still get no display.

I would like to disable the DVI port so that Linux cannot see it, is this possible? I guess in reality it is fine if I can trick it into thinking 1 is 2 and 2 is 1 if you know what I am saying.

I have run both yast and sax2 form failsafe mode and nothing woudl fly.
