Not about specific hardware: Need linux compatible USB-Serial or Parallel


I need a linux compatible USB to Serial or USB to parallel converter. Im on a laptop, and I dont have any serial or parallel ports.

It shouldnt matter too much, but im using Ubuntu 6.10. i forget which kernel and cant remember how to check, but its the newest i can.

Anything USB 2.0 will work. Many seem to just work. HOwever, I found this:
